WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO.
South Burnett Support Alliance Inc was formed with the sole purpose of assisting those in need. Many people are finding things tough. There are those without a roof over their head, and those who do, but are finding things very hard to make ends meet for reasons usually beyond their own control. The consequences can lead to mental health difficulties. Our focus is to do what we can to assist those struggling in the South Burnett area. At this time in our development, we are primarily supplying meals on Sunday at lunchtime, and providing a venue for groups to host a meal through the Community Supporting Community Meals Project, which currently serves meals Wednesday evenings. When asked, we help people to connect with other appropriate specialised support organisations.
In hopefully not too distant a future, we aim to establish a permanent drop-in centre for those in need of some support and peer engagement, free of bureaucratic pressures.
Note, South Burnett Support Alliance Inc. is a charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for profit Commission (ACNC) and has Deductible Gift Recipient status with the Australian Tax Office (ATO).
